The young actor took to her Twitter and Facebook account, to pen her apology, but it seemed as if Zaira had been hounded and forced to write the apology.

The letter went thus: "This is an open confession/apology. I know that many people have been offended and displeased by my recent actions or by the people I have recently met."

Zaira was targeted by trolls for meeting a leader who maintained obscurity in her condemnation of militants in the state.

Not only was the 16-year-old condemned for meeting the CM, she was also threatened by online users for being vocal about her thoughts. Some even asked her why she went and met Mufti when she could've met the many victims of the inner turmoil being witnessed in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

"I am being projected as a role model for Kashmiri Youth. I want to make it clear that I do not want anyone to follow in my foot steps or even consider me as their role model," said the 16-year-old actress who had a casual meeting with the Mehbooba Mufti, J&K CM.

Condemning her own actions and giving in to the uproar instigated by few users online, the actress said that she was just a 16-year-old kid and that people should treat her likewise.

Here's the complete letter she wrote on Social media, which she even deleted later.
