Sharing her thoughts on being part of this landmark project, Tamannaah said, "It feels surreal to be a part of 'The Vvaan' and bring to life the pride of Bihar and Patna by celebrating Chhath for the first time on the big screen of the Indian film industry through 'Chhathi Maiya'."

She added, "It's our humble attempt to bring the Bihari pride of India on the big screen, and all we hope is that the audience feels equally spiritual and devotional the way we felt throughout the journey."

For composer-singer Vishal Mishra, crafting 'Chhathi Maiya' was nothing short of a divine experience. The song venerates Chhathi Maiya, the deity worshipped during the festival, and celebrates the steadfast faith of her devotees.

Expressing his gratitude, Mishra shared, "It is truly an honour and a blessing for me to bring the faith and sacred tradition of Chhath, deeply rooted in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, to Hindi cinema for the first time. My only wish is for the beauty and fragrance of our culture to travel to every corner of the world, and receive the love and respect it truly deserves."

'Chhathi Maiya' is seamlessly woven into the storyline of 'The Vvaan'. The visual narrative shows Sidharth Malhotra's character expressing concern over Tamannaah's determination to observe the Chhath rituals despite the ominous dangers lurking in the film's mystical world.

As Tamannaah joins other women in performing the sacred customs, the song captures the emotional and spiritual depth of the festival. The sequence concludes on a dramatic note, hinting at a turning point that reinforces the power of faith.

All About 'The Vvaan: Force of the Forest'

'The Vvaan: Force of the Forest' is a high-concept supernatural folk thriller that boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Helmed by director Deepak Kumar Mishra, known for his work on 'Panchayat', and written by Arunabh Kumar, the film blends folklore, fantasy, adventure, mystery, and humour into a compelling narrative.

Alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film features Sunil Grover, Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari, and Anup Soni in significant roles.

The project is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari. It is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with TVF and 11.11 Production.

The plot centres around a forbidden forest governed by a chilling rule: "Suryast ke baad, Vvaan mein pravesh karna varjit hai" (Entry into the Vvaan is forbidden after sunset). Sidharth's character finds himself confronting mysterious forces after inadvertently awakening a divine goddess concealed deep within his ancestral village's forbidden forest.

'The Vvaan: Force of the Forest' is set to arrive in cinemas on September 25, 2026, just in time for the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. Following its theatrical run, the film will premiere digitally on Amazon Prime Video, as announced during the Prime Video 2026 slate event.
