During an appearance on the newly-launched show, Maa Hai Na – alongside daughter Tina Ahuja, Ssunita made a candid remark that quickly grabbed attention online. During the interaction, Ssunita Ahuja was asked whether she enjoys cooking. Answering the question, she revealed how food played a major role in her relationship with Govinda, saying, “Khana bana bana ke to pati pataya hai na.”

She then revealed that she started cooking at a very young age because the actor loved food. Ssunita stated, “Maine to jaldi shaadi kar liya tha,” before adding, “Mere pati ko khane ka shaukh tha.” She then added that she learnt cooking when she was just 15 years old in order to impress her future husband. Isn’t that cute!

During the same interaction, Ssunita reacted to Govinda being called a ‘GOAT.’ When the celebrity wife was asked the meaning of the word ‘GOAT’ to which she replied “Bakri?”, someone from the audience stated that Govinda is a GOAT and not a bakri. Ssunita jokingly replied, “My husband? He’s not a bakri! He’s a…” She then burst into laughter before adding, “Shilpa samajh gayi”

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja reportedly met during their teenage years and eventually fell in love. At that time, Govinda was around 21 years old while Sunita was just 15 years. After dating for a while, the duo secretly married in March 1987 before Govinda became one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. The have been blessed with two kids, daughter Narmada ‘Tina’ Ahuja and son Yashvardhan. Both their children have tried their hands in Bollywood films.
