PK crossed the 300 cr mark in just 17 days
Records are made to be broken and the same holds true in the film industry as well.Aamir Khan has beaten Aamir Khan. The superstar’s latest film PK has pipped his last release Dhoom 3 to emerge as Bollywood’s biggest hit of all time. After setting the bar at 100 crore it wasn’t long before a new releases crossed the mark to set an all-time high of over Rs. 200 crore. But the latest Aamir Khan starrer, PK that released on December 19, 2014 has redefined box office collections.
According to latest trade reports, PK has globally grossed Rs 544 crore in two weeks since its release around Christmas. This overtakes the Rs 542-crore worldwide collection of Dhoom 3, Aamir’s big release last Christmas co-starring Katrina Kaif.
In fact the film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and also features Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt after opening on a high note has managed to set a new record by becoming the first films to cross the 300 crore mark.
